Intuit Intelligence now available in Canada: what's new in Intuit Accountant Suite for accounting firms
Cross-client portfolio insights, Firm Playbooks and Unified Inbox give Canadian accounting firms a way to deliver advisory work across their whole client base
FOR many accounting firms, staying on top of clients still means working file by file: log in, check what's changed, flag what needs attention, then move on to the next one. It's careful work, but every hour spent on review is an hour not spent advising.
That's the challenge Intuit is addressing with Intuit Intelligence, its unified platform delivering intelligence and automation to businesses and accountants around the world.
What is Intuit Intelligence?
Now fuelling QuickBooks and Intuit Accountant Suite globally, Intuit Intelligence orchestrates decades of trusted data, deep expertise, and intelligent automation to help customers understand performance, automate work, take action and drive outcomes for businesses and their accountants. Rather than leveraging a single AI model, it matches the right tool to each task: large language models for reasoning, machine learning for prediction, deterministic code for precision, always with the business owner or accountant in full control of the decisions that matter most.
What's new in Intuit Accountant Suite for Canadian firms?
Intuit Accountant Suite, the AI-powered platform built for and with accountants, brings Intuit Intelligence directly into daily practice, working as a virtual extension of the team, continuously monitoring performance, highlighting insights, and making recommendations for every client a firm serves. The newest updates and capabilities will help automate tasks and execute work, reducing costs and giving back time to deliver more value to clients. They include:
- Cross-client portfolio insights surfaces flags across a firm's whole client roster, so accountants can spot what needs attention without logging into each file individually, cutting down the hours spent on manual review.
- Firm Playbooks lets a firm codify its own setup, service standards, and onboarding once and apply it to every new client in one click, driving efficiency and the ability to scale across the firm.
- Unified Inbox improvements and updates bring all client communication into one centralized location, with easy access to every client request, so firms spend less time searching across channels and more time on higher-value client work.

"Intuit Intelligence now surfaces cross-client insights and signals across a firm's entire portfolio at once. When an accountant logs in, they might see, 'three of your clients have unusual expense spikes this month,' which allows them to go straight to the clients who need attention first, instead of manually digging through data for anomalies," said Ishan Vaid, Head of Product, International, Intuit.
Select capabilities are part of Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate, the premium plan, which firms can try in beta at no cost through the end of 2026.
How does Intuit Intelligence keep accountants in control?
For a profession built on judgment and accountability, oversight carries particular weight in Canada, where accountants are bound by CPA Canada's professional standards and provincial regulatory requirements around client data and due diligence.

“When we started building supervised AI agents into our firm, we documented every one of them right into our org chart, because oversight matters just as much as the automation itself,” said Melisa Gaetani, Partner at Tino-Gaetani & Carusi, Chartered Professional Accountants. “The results speak for themselves. One director’s manual proofing work will drop from approximately 400 hours a year to 50. That’s not replacing judgment, it’s freeing up our people to spend more time on the advisory work that actually matters to clients.”
The Intuit QuickBooks 2026 AI Impact Report found that trust is now the top barrier to deeper AI adoption among businesses, even as regular AI use has climbed to nearly 70 per cent.
Intuit Intelligence is designed to help build that trust, keeping accountants in the loop at every step rather than asking them to hand off control, and the customers are responding: millions of customers are already using its financial automations and insights monthly.
“Momentum and adoption behind Intuit Intelligence is strong, as early adopters are already spending 30 per cent more time on advisory work instead of file-by-file review,” said Vaid. “That’s only possible because accountants stay fully in control. Every signal Intuit Intelligence surfaces is something they review and approve themselves, never something that acts on its own.”
