TORONTO, Apr. 8, 2021 – Client engagement solution provider Practice Ignition has announced its Top 50 Women in Accounting list for 2020. The list, which celebrates “all the amazing women who are driving advocacy, change and creating opportunities in the Accounting and Bookkeeping industry!”, includes nine Canadians.

The Top 50 Women in Accounting was launched on International Women's Day in 2018. It was created to recognize female accounting professionals globally who drive "advocacy, change and community in their workplace and beyond," according to Practice Ignition.

Professionals were highlighted based on dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the workplace and beyond; investment in the next generation and the future leaders of accounting; and advocacy of the accounting industry and support of the wider community.

Jennie Moore, founder of Moore Details Inc., a cloud-based accounting and bookkeeping firm based in Eastern Ontario, was one of the six judges. "My heart is full knowing that so many women in accounting are challenging for change and pursuing diversity,” says Moore. “Each entry brought a sense of pride to me knowing that the future will hold more opportunities for my daughters. Thank you to my industry peers who Press for Progress."
