PwC Canada names new leadership team

Toronto, June 18, 2018 – The incoming chief executive officer of PwC Canada, Nicolas Marcoux, FCPA, FCA, has put his leadership team into place, effective July 1, 2018. 

“Our new leadership team reflects a diverse range of experiences, perspectives and innovative ideas, which are critical to the success of our clients and our growth ambitions for the future,” says Marcoux, whose appointment was announced in late March. Marcoux began his career with PwC in 1989; he will officially take charge as well on July 1.

PwC has provided profiles of its new Canadian leadership team:

Chris Dulny, Chief Innovation Officer. Chris will lead and bring to life our innovation agenda with our people and clients, in this new role. He brings a wealth of experience and relationships from the Canadian and global innovation, startup, technology and emerging tech spaces. Chris will leverage these strengths and insights to help deliver innovative new solutions in the marketplace and transform the way we work. 

Kristian Knibutat, Chief Operating Officer.Kristian will provide strategic oversight of the firm’s national operations, including IT, risk, Independence Office, Office of General Counsel, and strategic mergers and acquisitions. He will leverage his extensive business acumen, stakeholder relationships and experience to maximize the firm’s operational strength as our business and workforce continues to grow, innovate and evolve.

Lana Paton, National Managing Partner, Business Units. Lana will oversee our Assurance, Tax, Consulting and Deals business units. She will work closely with her business unit leaders to bring the full strength of our people and innovative services to the marketplace. Lana’s extensive leadership experience, passion, innovative approach and commitment to exceptional client service will be key as we strive to make a difference to the success of our clients. 

Alaina Tennison, Chief Financial Officer. Alaina will provide strategic oversight of our firm’s financial matters and business planning activities. Her extensive market experience and relationships in the assurance, regulatory and policy spaces will be valuable in helping our clients and our firm successfully navigate the evolving business landscape, employ best practices and make strategic investments for the future. 

Matthew Wetmore, National Managing Partner, Industries and Regions. Matthew will oversee our industries, market segments and regional offices. He is a collaborative markets-focused leader who has a strong track record of delivering strategic advice and practical, value-add solutions to clients. Matthew will work with our industry and regional leaders to drive growth and strategic investments in innovative services to address evolving market trends and needs.

Marcoux is a specialist in mergers and acquisitions. A graduate of the University of Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Business Administration, he holds the corporate finance (CF) designation and is a board member of Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and Youth in Mind Foundation. He succeeds Bill McFarland, who has served as CEO of PwC Canada since 2011.
