TORONTO, Jan. 6, 2021 – Accounting and advisory firm Grant Thornton LLP announced a major expansion today through the acquisition of seven well-established practices across Canada. The expansion spans both coasts through two firms in B.C., one in Alberta, three in Ontario, and the addition of PwC Canada's practice in Truro, Nova Scotia.

"2020 was a year like no other," stated Grant Thornton Executive Partner and CEO Kevin Ladner in a press release yesterday. "We are committed to providing leading-edge solutions and deep expertise to help our clients navigate this new environment. Bringing these practices under the Grant Thornton banner expands our collective ability to help our clients achieve their goals in 2021 and beyond."

Ladner added that every one of the seven practices shares Grant Thornton's commitment to helping clients, colleagues and communities thrive in this ever-changing world. Their like-minded belief in the importance of client service makes each of these additions a great fit. "We are thrilled to see the similarities in our cultures and philosophies," said Ladner.
